The Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing, integrating and certifying electrical & electronic components for use in FAA approved safety equipment.

1. Participate in cross-functional teams to complete the following tasks:
a. Integrate electrical & electronic systems into aircraft safety products.
b. Develop the functional operation and safety of electrical & electronic systems.
c. Achieve and demonstrate the required levels of redundancy and reliability for electrical & electronic systems.
d. Obtain Technology Readiness Level TRL 9 (product fully certified and in service with minimal issues) for the electrical & electronic systems.
e. Obtain Manufacturing Readiness Level MRL 9 (full rate production with minimal issues) for the electrical & electronic systems.
2. Define the requirements to obtain the various Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL).
3. Develop and certify systems components including: power sources, power control systems, electrical control systems, motors, and compressors.
4. Integrate system components including: power sources, power control systems, electrical control systems, and compressors into existing and new safety equipment.
5. Attend recurring meetings with external partnerships to advance the Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL).
6. Attend recurring weekly status update meetings with internal employees and external partners.
7. Issue work orders and purchase requests as required.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Requisitos del puesto de trabajo
1. Must be fluent in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals related to inflatable safety equipment.
2. Must be able to clearly and effectively present information to team members and management in English.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and CAD modelling.
Education and Experience
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university and at least 3 years of related experience.
