Primary Function:
The role of an Operations Lead is to assist the supervisor by ensuring work is continually moving forward by assigning work to their peers, retrieving material needed by fellow operators, and completing necessary SAP transactions. Leads will be expected to verbally coach operators and escalate needed formal coaching to their supervisor.
Essential Functions:
• Leads, facilitates and coordinates production activities and resources per established practices and/or policies within their job area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Perform approx. 50% direct labor manufacturing within assigned department, unless otherwise directed by area Supervisor/Manager.
• Coordinates and leverages resources with other functions, such as maintenance, materials, scheduling, logistics and engineering, to resolve manufacturing problems and/or improve processes.
• Completes data entry of SAP transaction to ensure flow of material through the system.
• Contributors for drafting and participating in semi-annual and annual review for their peers.
• Effectively challenges employee performance and behavioral issues.
• Motivates and coaches employees and teams to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity and quality.
• Ensures that employees have the necessary skills, knowledge, information and tools to do their jobs safely and effectively.
• Drives 6S culture by improving and maintaining the cleanliness, safety and organization of the work area.
• Confers with assigned employees regarding process and materials problems and coordinates with support groups in the resolution of problems affecting schedules.
• Ability to verify non-conformances of products and assign to appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew in accordance with safety requirements.
• Analyzes and resolve production issues, collaborating with support staff when needed.
• Manages their time between direct labor production and indirect responsibilities with little supervision.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED or Higher.
• Diverse product knowledge within Safran or 2 yrs. equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Time Management.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to effectively train employees on company procedure and product operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Safety trained
• Leadership Skills.
Physical Demands:
Stantionary 10% / Mobility 80% (may need to lift up to 25 lbs.)

Manufacturing environment
Work involves working near/with moving or mechanical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and there is some exposure to airborne particles and fumes.
