We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Product Line Manager to take on a leadership role within our Engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical integrity of our product line portfolio, direct supervision of product line Engineers and Designers, and ensuring the robustness of new product development. This role also involves developing and maintaining product strategies, facilitating concurrent engineering, and technically master the full diversity of the product line. Additionally, the candidate will manage staffing requirements for effective product development and support, and implement the skills strategy in accordance with product line needs.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Direct supervision and mentoring for Engineers and Designers.
• Conduct technical review and approval of all engineering changes, designs and deliverables.
• Manage resource allocation and skills based on needs and priorities.
• Develop and maintain departmental staffing plans in alignment with the allocated budget
• Collaborate with Program, Systems, and Marketing/Sales stakeholders to develop and implement product strategy.
• Oversee subcontracting activities.
• Measure department performance through key indicators and implement improvement plans in line with the product line objectives.
• Deploy improvement plans established in collaboration with the engineering management board.

Qualifications:
Education -
Required – BS Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering; MS in Engineering preferred
Preferred – MBA optional
Experience –
Required – Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment.
Special Knowledge/Skills –
• Technical skills in general mechanics and fluid mechanics.
• Knowledge of Control Engineering, Chemistry, Electronics, Plastics Engineering, Functional Analysis/Design to Cost, Reliability Engineering (DFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis...), and Airworthiness and aviation regulations.
• Proven leadership and project management skills with training and experience.
• Proficiency in manufacturing MRP systems.
• Literacy in Microsoft Suite of Office Software.
