What You Will Do:
We are looking for an Upholstery Shop Lead to join a team who creates beautiful Aircraft interiors for VIP's and Heads of State. Imagine working for a company who builds 4000 sq. ft of LUXURY home in the SKY!!!
Perform the daily activities within the Upholstery Shop area including organizing, scheduling, and monitoring of production requirements
Prepare all parts for finish and applies all final finish of aircraft interior components according to engineering, company quality standards and operating procedures under minimal supervision
Safely performs component preparation, covering and assembly under minimal supervision in accordance with current technical data required in the manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA
Responsible for coverings including fabric, leather, tedlar and carpet; aid related to finish requirements to the Production Supervisor to support the master production schedule; perform installations and repairs on and off wing
Interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure upholstered components meet the design spec, quality standards and customer expectations
Ensure:  work orders and forms used for traceability are properly executed; technicians have the appropriate technical data available; shop equipment and tools are maintained in good working order; shop premises are maintained in a clean and orderly manner; the impact of budget hours to the schedule and next phase requirements
Offer continuous improvement ideas/participates in continuous improvement activities
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, displays commitment to excellence, looks for ways to improve and promote quality, applies feedback to improve performance, and monitors own work to ensure quality.

Requisitos del puesto de trabajo

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
5 years Upholstery experience, preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment or other high-end industry such as yachts, luxury motor coaches, etc.
Knowledge of the Upholstery process as it specifically relates to the corporate aviation industry, in a completions environment
Able to comply with DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
Experience in high end decorative coverings including fabric, leather, tedlar, veneer and carpet
Ability: communicate in English (read, write and verbally communicate); select and work with proper tools for job task; time-management and organizational skills; climb and work on step stools and/or ladders; to lift 50 lbs. without assistance/able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance; reach overhead; work in a non-dust-free environment, normal or corrected vision (required to perform exacting tasks); range of motion with both hands; hands: can work in a stooping, kneeling or standing position and in cramped areas
