Descripción del puesto de trabajo

As part of the Systems Architecture and Integration department, the Systems Architect is responsible for the requirements and architecture development of aircraft landing gear and braking systems (ATA32).

As a Systems Architect on a development program, you will define and coordinate a comprehensive system development logic in line with Safran's Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) framework. Adopting an overall view of the system throughout its lifecycle, you will ensure that the solution achieves an optimal balance between system requirements, lead times, costs and risks, and that the proposed system architectures are technically robust and meet the customer needs.

You will interface with the Program Chief Engineer as a deputy on Systems Engineering activities, and as a technical leader for the Systems Engineering teams across Safran Landing Systems business units over the entire ATA32 lifecycle.

Ensure the consolidation of requirements through system specification:
- identification of all interfaces and stakeholders concerned by the design, production,
maintainability and use of the system
- definition of the system's “mission” and specifications, based on the needs expressed by the
(customer, etc.) and the requirements imposed by its environment
- evaluation of the relative weighting, completeness and sensitivity of requirements, as well as
the influence and effects of the environment

Descripción complementaria

Engineering duties will span the entire product lifecycle, from initial design and requirements
capture through manufacture, system testing, and system sustainment. While working in a
cross-functional team environment, tasks will include:
• Requirements development and management
• Conceptual studies of electro-mechanical architectures
• System/Mechanical design, multiphysics modeling, analysis, and review
• System performance assessments and trade studies
• System Robustness Evaluation
• Verification/Validation/Test planning, development, and execution
• Customer interface, coordination
• Cascading overall system requirements into subsystem level requirements, based on
functional and dysfunctional analyses with the support of the entire systems team, including
RAMS (reliability, availability, maintainability, safety) aspects
• Ensure that systems engineering tasks are included in the development approach
• --propose the product breakdown structure (PBS) and integration of subsystems
• --advise on subsequent system development/upgrades throughout the entire lifecycle,
systematically conducting impact analysis, and propose solutions to the PCE & relevant
functions involved.
. Manage and lead the process for rolling out the portfolio of shared methods and tools on the
allocated project
. Support the Definition and integration (ATA 32) of generic architectures by family of products
based on SLS experiences of development, production and services
