Reporting to Machine Shop Production Planning Manager, the successful individual, working with the planning team will be responsible for the overall coordination of activities within the Machine Shop. As well as the day-to-day planning of work and support on administration activities, the job is also intended to support and prioritize the recovery plans on the military product.
Descripción complementaria
• Work order release management, ensuring production start time on, highlight any parts shortage inhabiting work order launches
• Support IN/OUT forecast between Planning & ODC Procurement & follow-up with each group for updates
• Responsible for coordinating, with the planning team, the flow of work throughout the Machine Shop
• Provide back up support to ODC Procurement Agent
• Ensure the availability of parts to meet flow requirements as well as customer expectations
• Coordinate unplanned activities including raising rework travelers, performing work order splits in SAP.
• Update/improve administrative and reporting tools in order to reduce non-value added work
• Create, maintain, and publish daily/weekly status reports/ KPI as required.
• Key member for lead-time management
• Assist with Work Order Management in SAP
• Liaise with other departments to ensure part availability
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
Requisitos del puesto de trabajo
College Diploma /University Degree
Proficient computer skills, experience in administrative functions, results oriented, excellent problem solving and organizational skills, strong communication & interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Purchasing Principles an asset
Microsoft Office software – advanced Excel Skills; basic understanding of Engineering drawings; previous experience with MRP II / SAP software an asset
