Finance Business Partner will report on a day to day basis to the Chief Financial Officer, and is accountable for coordinating the day to day finance functions to enable Safran Electronics and Defense Australasia to meet its financial performance objectives, in accordance with corporate deadlines and requirements. In addition, this role will provide financial analysis and forward thinking by collaborating with the Senior Management Team (SMT).


Preparation and review of monthly P&L and Balance Sheets including general ledger and account reconciliations
Manage the monthly management reporting timelines and quarterly forecast timeline
Work with CFO in the preparation of annual and five-year budgets in line with Business Planning cycle i.e. strategic and operational planning
Business Partnering with SMT in the development of detailed business cases and analysis for decision support assistance
Business plan development
Contracts review (Earn Value Management)
Produce and present financial data KPI reporting pack to SMT
Provide weekly cost analysis and insights to cost trends
Calculation of Hourly Rate
Efficiency and labour utilisation Rate
Ensure the accuracy of the work in progress and inventory valuation
Preparation and lodgement of all statutory obligations including BAS, IAS, Tax, GST & Payroll Tax returns
Identify and implement continual improvement initiatives related to current accounting processes and reporting
Assist with annual Internal Control and Financial audits as required
Assist the CFO with developing controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data
Cash-flow management including forecasting in local and foreign currencies.
Motor Vehicle fleet management, including insurance and fuel cards
Working with shared services regarding insurance renewals and management.
Provide assistance to the Chief Financial Officer as necessary

Requisitos del puesto de trabajo


Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline essential
CA / CPA qualification level is desired
3 years plus experience in a similar role
Defence experience desirable, not essential
Exceptional skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong knowledge of financial modelling tools
EVM experience is essential
Advanced experience with accounting software i.e. MYOB Exo


Excellent interpersonal skills
