Headquartered in Sydney, SEDA brings local expertise in the integration of optronics and navigation systems for the air, land and naval platforms of the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces.

Reporting to the Business Support Manager, we are looking for a Business Support Officer to support company operations by maintaining office systems and supporting a diverse group of internal stakeholders in their day-to-day administrative duties. 

In this role, you will be responsible for;

Providing support to, and performing, the required activities of the various business units.
Performing reception duties.
Being the initial point of contact for visitors and playing an important part in setting a positive first impression.
Complying with all data protection requirements and maintaining confidentiality about the access and distribution of Company information and data.
Coordinating schedules, arranging meetings, distributing memos and reports, and ensuring that everyone is kept current with necessary company news and information.
Providing general support activities including processing purchase requests, sale orders, processing supplier invoices, follow-up of the status of open orders, reconciliation with the financial accountant, and invoicing
Ensuring office supplies are maintained, including checking inventory and ensuring adequate levels of necessary supplies are maintained at all times.
Ensuring that common office areas are tidy, and supplies are replenished.
Assisting with the compilation of reports as required by the Company.
Managing the control, distribution, and filing of correspondence.
Booking travel and accommodation arrangements as required
Assist with the control and filing of Company Timesheets.
Monitor the serviceability of office machines and maintain supplies of associated consumables.
Ensuring office supplies are maintained, including checking inventory and ensuring adequate levels of necessary supplies are maintained at all times Maintain office common areas.
Coordinate special events and functions for the organisation
Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
Provide support to meetings and hospitality activities as required.
Attend meetings, taking notes/formal minutes as required, and report back to the Senior Management Team
Assist the Business Support Manager as necessary.

Descripción complementaria

To be successful in this role , you must have:

• Good English language skills (written and oral)
• Minimum three years recent office administrative experience
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Basic experience with accounting software (MYOB)
• Current driver's license
