We are currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Product Support Engineer with a demonstrated background and understanding of gas turbine engines. The Product Support Engineer is responsible for the engineering and associated documentation support of gas turbine engines and aircraft components maintained by Safran Helicopter Engines (HE) Australia.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide technical assistance for the resolution of technical issues detected either in the repair process, on parts, tooling, processes and/or documentation when occurring within SAFRAN HE Australia operational activities.
• Propose solutions to the OEMs wherever possible when technical issues are required to be reported to the OEM for decisions.
• Participate in the scope of work, disassembly review and Job reviews to ensure minimum work scope required to fulfil the reason for return is accomplished at the lowest cost to both customer and company.
• Manage the Workshop Queries (WSQs), Repair Centre Request to Management (RCRM), Deviation/Deterioration Report (DDRs), etc.
• Finalise and validate workshop technical reports in conjunction with Detail Inspection and the Customer Support Department (CSD).
• Ensure feedback to CSD or directly to the Customer (during on-site visits) to answer to their technical enquiries on products repaired by SAFRAN HE Australia.
• Report and assist the Quality team, on any quality issues effecting product output.
• Coach and mentor operational personnel to improve overall knowledge.
• Ensure return of experience (REX) data is compiled and forwarded to corporate as requested.

Requisitos del puesto de trabajo

• An Engineering or mechanical / technical trade qualification or equivalent relevant experience in a similar field.
• Additional training as well as experience acquired on gas turbine engines.
• Demonstrated hands on experience with Safran HE product.
• Extensive knowledge of Safran HE product publications.
• Extensive experience on Safran HE product in one or more of the following domains: - part inspection including metrology; evaluation specialist; method technician/engineer; Industrial technician/engineer; repair technician/engineer; or suitable equivalent.
