Aerospace
The Group started building galley inserts for KLM, the Netherlands' flag carrier, in 1946. The plant in Alkmaar (North Holland) has been engineering and selling galleys ever since, in particular for A320 family aircraft, along with heavy-duty trolleys, drawers, electric inserts and other systems to store and serve food and beverages on airliners. Its product range also includes cargo equipment (especially for air freight and luggage handling) and crew rest areas for A330 and A340 aircraft. The plant in Alkmaar also houses a Cabin Innovation and Experience Center.
Academic partnerships with top-tier universities
The Alkmaar plant entered into a partnership with Delft University of Technology in 2010. It also works closely alongside Free University Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), University of Amsterdam (UvA), University of Twente, Saxon University of Applied Sciences and Inholland University of Applied Sciences (in Alkmaar and Haarlem). Students from several of these universities join the teams in Alkmaar on internships or projects to complete their MA degrees or PhD programs each year.
