Referring to the future new organization ‘Purchasing and Supplier Performance”, is the site Focal point for Purchasing & SPQM activities
Site Purchasing managing role:
In case the Purchasing Commodity Director is located elsewhere and the site has Commodity Buyers and/or Managers:
The Site Purchasing Director represents the Purchasing VP and the Purchasing Commodity Directors on the site:
• Interfacing with the site:
o The site Purchasing manager is the Purchasing Process Owner representative on the site
o The position acts by delegation of the Purchasing VP and the Purchasing Commodities Directors and coordinates actions on site
o As such, they will ensure compliance to process in case of on-site audit (Audits, Internal controls, Export control) and effectiveness of the Procure to pay process and the administration of SAP
o Per request, supports purchasing activities related to the military programs or government laws.
o Liaise along with site VP of Operations to check that the support from Purchasing is optimized and meets requirement
• Delegation from Purchasing VP and Interface with the Commodity Directors (when no commodity direct management line on site):
o By delegation and upon Purchasing VP request, leads negotiation on specific hot topics locally with suppliers and on specific military programs.
o When the site is directly involved, participate in Supplier Selection process and Projects (Make/Buy)
o Ensures the role of the local manager of buyers for all aspects related to administration, payroll, travel, missions, and various local organizations.
o Communicates to the buyers the information related to the site, including HSE, using the appropriate communication method.
o Upon request, interviews, selects, trains and appraises the performance of the buyers to support the various Commodity Directors and Managers
o Promotes skills enhancement of the buyers in respect of the Purchasing strategies and standards implementation.
• Lead and develop Asian suppliers Purchasing strategy, manage the recovery after COVID-19 for new ramp up
Site SPQM Management role:
In the case of the SPQM Manager is located elsewhere, and the site has SPQMs;
• The SPQM Site Manager represents the SPQM Director and the SPQM Commodity Managers on the site. As such,
o They participates in instances requiring their presence, including in particular meetings and site operational reviews with information and actions related to the performance of suppliers – with Supply Chain and Purchasing teams in particular.
• Interfacing with the SPQM Commodity Managers:
o Ensures the role of local manager for all aspects related to administration, payroll, travel, missions, and various local organizations.
o Responsible for areas of corporate social responsibility, including HSE in particular.

Good level of written and oral English, Master intercultural relationship.
Education &/or Certifications: International management experience, senior purchasing profile, 5 years Purchasing or Supply-Chain experience
Work Experience: Negotiation skills, contractual and contract management, development process knowledge, multi-commodity product knowledge and make or buy recommendations.
Specialized Knowledge: International Aerospace Experience in Purchasing or business (program; sales ;…), technical background and Project Management. Safran requirements & documentary system including quality standards, Supply-Chain principles and tools, including audits, lean-sigma, principles and tools of quality including audits.
Internal: Must have strong interpersonal and effective communication skills to work with Commodity Leaders and Program Buyer Manager, Commodity Buyers (including commercial) and Program Buyers on local site, Site Flow Management team, other site purchasing leads, Engineering, Business Units, Quality, Finance, HR
External: Must have strong interpersonal and effective communication skills to work with the Supply Chain.
Communication and listening, sense of the field, pragmatic, rigor, spirit of analysis and synthesis, power of persuasion, ability to communicate and represent the company externally.
English fluent, French is a plus.
