What will I be doing?
As an Engineer at Safran, you will play a key role in our low carbon journey to make aviation safer and more sustainable.
As a Safety & Reliability Engineer at Safran Landing Systems, you'll provide advice and guidance on the safety aspects of the design of products, at equipment and system level, enabling the products to be certified for airworthiness. You'll perform various analyses (such as the Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Predictions, Common Cause Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis), and collect data on in-service events & calculation of reliability and safety data.

You'll also:
• Contribute to determination of risks and opportunities relating to
the system architecture
• Lead the development of the Landing Gear Systems and
associated equipment
• Manage the validation and verification activities needed for
integration, qualification and certification of the systems and
equipment.
• Provide relevant safety advice to others to enable product
designs to be certified for airworthiness
• Participate in technical reviews with suppliers and customers
during the project life cycle
• Help analyse changes to the technical definition and
configuration of products and support in-service technical
incidents

What do you need from me?
You'll be Degree qualified in Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Electronic, Aeronautical Systems or other appropriate professional qualification, and possess the following experience:
• Thorough understanding of the safety process and related
analyses such as Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA),
Reliability Predictions, Common Cause Analysis, Fault Tree
Analysis, etc.
• Experience of working to ARP4761
• Knowledge of requirements management, validation &
verification
• Knowledge of airworthiness requirements and certification
• Knowledge of systems engineering theory together with a
familiarity with ARP4754A
• Detailed knowledge of Actuation & Control Systems
• Ability to analyse and understand the System operation
• DOORS operating experience is desirable.
