As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be an integral part of our IS team, reporting directly to the Services and Solution Manager. Your primary focus will be to support the implementation of storage, virtualization, and backup initiatives within the UK and Asia regions.

Your Responsibilities:

**Support Infrastructure Projects:**
- Collaborate as a key member of project teams to successfully deliver assigned projects.
- Take ownership of preparing essential technical documentation.
- Assist in crafting compelling presentations for project proposals and feasibilities, keeping the PMO and IS Management updated on project status.
- Keep yourself up-to-date with emerging technologies, making recommendations to enhance system capabilities, streamline troubleshooting, and reduce manual tasks.

**Build Storage and VMWare Infrastructure:**
- Share your expertise as a subject matter expert in virtualization, storage, and backups.
- Perform system deployment, configuration, installation, and equipment support according to client proposal specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operating system-related issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with security regulations and standards during infrastructure builds.
- Provide valuable input and implement resource recommendations for maintaining and expanding service levels.

**Support and Administration:**
- Serve as a primary point of contact, offering L2 and L3 support for VMWare and Storage.
- Coach, train, and provide support to less experienced members of our IT team.
- Take charge of monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within the VMWare and Storage environment.
- Manage VMWare and Storage at an enterprise level, drawing from your extensive experience.
- Use your problem-solving skills to diagnose complex network, server, and middleware issues, and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor performance and generate reports.
- Conduct log checks and provide reporting.
- Develop scripts to automate daily administrative tasks and create customized scripts for incident and problem resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

- An ITIL Foundations certification or a similar credential would be a plus.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Knowledge of the aerospace business is advantageous.
- Experience in applying structured transformation, change, and project management methodologies in fast-changing situations is highly valued.
