Hydraulic Inspector and Fitter

• Working to the production plan all hydraulic units and actuation will be covered.
• The production plan will demand various work-scopes to include test & repair, repair or overhaul
• Hydraulic units are tested on a rig to determine serviceability
• Serviceable units are inspected to be released back to service.
• Failed test units require disassembly and subsequent inspection to return the unit to serviceability.
• Parts are sentenced as serviceable, scrap or requiring repair
• Performing minor rework such as hand salvage, blending damaged material, polishing may be required in conjunction with assessing parts/components for repair.
• Hydraulic units are fully assembled and tested to CMM & drawing maintenance data.
• Responsibility and confidence to sign off and stamp one's own work for safe release back into service in line with all relevant build documentation.
• Flexible to cover multiple technical disciplines.

• Apprentice trained or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience in working with Inspection & Fitting on Aircraft Landing Gears and Components

There is no regular travel with this role.
