1) Occupational Summary:
Ensure that products and processes of internal and external suppliers conform to applicable drawings, technical specifications, regulations, and customer requirements.
2) Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):
A) Engage suppliers (internal and external) to continuous improvement of processes and product.
B) Uses the root cause and corrective action process to resolve issues.
C) Resolves supplier quality issues and assists in implementation of preventative action plan to eliminate recurrences.
D) Evaluate data, think technically, resolve issues.
E) Maintain compliance with AS 9100 quality management requirements
F) Performs other duties as assigned.
A) Knowledge and Skills:
i) Must have a broad knowledge of Quality systems and procedures.
ii) Must have the ability to interact with all levels of employees, customers, and suppliers.
iii) Must possess ability to lead and engage suppliers and employees in continuous improvement projects.
iv) Be familiar with processes and specifications used in the manufacture and assembly of Safran Seats USA products.
v) Progressive thinking ability. Knowledge of FAA regulations related to product(s).
vi) Must be familiar with LEAN/Six Sigma fundamentals and implementation.
B) Education and Experience:
i) Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or 12 years related combination of education and experience in lieu of degree required.
ii) Additionally, must have two or more years of related experience.
iii) Silver belt training is preferred.

D) Communication Skills:
Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
E) Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve problems and think strategically.
This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job.
