Safran, for its Electronic & Defense division, is looking for Sr. SAP IT Analyst in Grand Prairie, TX
- The SAP IT Analyst role is a hands on role using analytical, consulting, business knowledge, and application solution expertise to effectively integrate and implement technology solutions into the business environment. This position will work closely with business subject matter experts as well as others within our managed service provider to ensure strong alignment between the business requirements/needs and the application solutions/services. The candidate for the SIA role is responsible for developing, configuring and delivering effective SAP specific solutions for our business.
o Hands-on problem identification, problem resolution and problem documentation and communication.
o Functional Lead providing ongoing Functional and development support for the Record To Report (R2R) business solutions to ensure that current and future business requirements are met.
o Provide in-depth technical/business process advice for the RTR support team (SAP FICO).
o Lead a team of specialists in SAP FICO to support the business processes for the RTR solution.
o Provide support & design direction for business operation namely, Month end/Qtr/Year end closing, Planning & Forecasting, Cash Management, Tax, Payments, & other Finance and Controlling Reporting and Analytics.
o Strong Financial accounting experience with strong skills across FICO module including Financial Org Structure and Master Data, New General Ledger, AP, AR, Tax, Intercompany Accounting, CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, Bank Interfaces &, Foreign currencies.
o Excellent Business Analytical skills and detailed technical knowledge across the R2R work stream including, cost reduction, automation of processes, matrices, diagrams to assist decision makers regarding business consolidations.
o Assist the Finance team in Analyzing, review, forecast, and trend complex data to support company goals and business objectives. Internal & External Financial Management Reporting.
o Assisted and influence business owners to convert their policies and procedures as their requirements for system design.(i.e. GAAP, IFRS)
o Evaluate SAP Finance designs to ensure that solution provided are in line with the growth of the business, addressed business operation challenges and introduce efficiencies base on industry standard practice.
o Briefs leadership as appropriate on situations requiring changes in resources, impacts on established policies, broad project milestones, goals, or projected timetables.
o Is responsible for work that involves the design, documentation, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing application solutions
o Establish and execute test plans to ensure applications are performing expected results.
o Produce weekly status report in area of ownership, taking accountability and ownership for deliverables and commitments aligned with weekly IT meetings, change requests, projects
o Lead early discussions with Finance Executives regarding discovery sessions with business and technology stakeholders as part of their review on their existing structure.
o Conduct compliance and audit review of existing Finance functionalities.
o Research focusing on industry trends and related business problems and the value proposition of SAP's solutions and some bolt on functionalities.
o Developed business cases for SAP solutions specific to finance scenarios, combined with peer benchmarking. .
o Actively involved in the creation and execution of SAP Accounting system processes improvement.
o Extensive experience in bridging the gap between technical/functional design and end-user requirements, and adept in creating and improving operational efficiencies through business process re-engineering.
o Lead /Deploy global accounting processes & procedures to company worldwide sites.
o SAP Finance Integration Lead across SAP Modules.
o Must exercise good judgement, will have access to sensitive information
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
Minimum of 5 years of IT / Business Analyst experience
Minimum of 5 years of SAP ERP functional/Hands-on experience.
Candidate must be able to be licensed by the US Government.
Knowledge of SAP HANA BI reporting is plus.
Knowledge of MRO business is plus.
