Project Buyer

The Project Buyer is responsible for the management of supply chain projects including, execution of transfer of work, sourcing criticals parts, supporting procument team into tacticals operations and improvement projects defined by the Procurement Manager .
The Project Buyer collaborates with Buyers to build sustainable supply chains for the procurement phases of multiple projects.
The Project Buyer interacts with the Suppliers and internal stakeholder to ensure the successful implementation of supply chain project in order to support the work of specific program.
Manage the supply chain ensuring synergy to strategic partners to achieve internal customer requirement commitments.
Provide direction, flow down and support to other Supply Chain employees when needed.

Purchasing strategy:
Responsible for optimizing material costs through vendor analysis, quality, schedule, cost evaluation
Determines optimal methods of procurement process such as discrete or blanket orders, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), etc. in alignment with the company strategy to optimize its purchased inventory levels
Determine and manage optimal order levels by reviewing ERP logistic settings, such as supplier lead-time, order minimums, capacity, shipment methods, freight costs and other relevant variables as necessary.

Supplier performance management and improvement:
Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships with effective communication skills and by continuously monitoring the flow of information or requirements, both external and internal.
Utilize supplier performance data on Costs, Quality or Delivery to drive continuous improvement, including feedback and proactive resolution of issues

Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or Scientific Discipline or equivalent;
- 3+ years of applicable experience in contact with suppliers;
- Knowledge of aviation community and requirements associated with industry.
- Previous experience working with and/or for a foreign held company.
