1) Occupational Summary:
Support the Quality Assurance department, ensure products and processes, both internal and external, conform to applicable drawings, technical specifications, regulations, and customer requirements.
2) Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):
A) Make qualitative decisions on part conformity regarding form, fit, and function.
B) Leads technical root cause and corrective action processes to resolve issues.
C) Collect and analyze data, compile reports, develop metrics, and recommend action plans.
D) Implement continuous improvement of both internal and external processes.
E) Create, review, and update documents and processes.
F) Assist Quality Management Team with project definitions. Lead project teams.
G) Provide technical support and training both internally and externally.
H) Coordinates capture and containment of internal nonconforming product.
I) Understand and utilize local and corporate QMS (Quality Management System).
J) Maintain compliance with AS 9100 quality management requirements.
K) May be expected to apply to be a Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) Designee.
L) Performs other duties as assigned.

3) Qualification Requirements:
A) Knowledge and Skills:
i) Must have an extensive knowledge of Quality systems and procedures.
ii) Must be able to interact with all levels of employees, customers, and suppliers.
iii) Must possess ability to lead and engage with all levels of employees, customers, and suppliers in continuous improvement projects.
iv) Be familiar with processes and specifications used in the manufacture and assembly of Safran Seats USA (SSUSA) products.
v) Must have experience interpreting drawings.
vi) Working knowledge of FAA regulations pertaining to SSUSA products.
vii) Must be familiar with LEAN/Six Sigma fundamentals and implementation.
B) Education and Experience:
i) Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or 6 years related combination of education and experience in lieu of degree required.
ii) Additionally, must have two or more years of related experience in a Quality professional role.
iii) Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
C) Competencies:
Acts in accordance with company values and related competencies.
D) Communication Skills:
Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
E) Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve problems and think strategically.
4) Physical Demands:
This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job.
