工作描述

Accountable for a multi functional manufacturing team that is responsible for the manufacturing of heavy components from raw material to finished product.
Ensuring on time delivery to the Assembly Shop through the scheduling and forecasting of work; ensuring that targeted levels of efficiency, productivity, cost, quality and due date compliance are achieved
Support root cause and corrective action process for non-quality reported in production (machining or programming experience required)
Improve efficiencies and maintain continuous improvement initiatives – lower overall manufacturing costs i.e. reduction in set up times, number of NCR's, scrap and rework, improve quality

Develop teamwork and motivation for both Production personnel

Ensure all personnel receive appropriate and effective training and develop a training matrix to show redundancy / backup capability

Develop and adhere to budgets – operating costs, capital etc.

Schedule and forecast work (in conjunction with the Machine Shop Planner) through the department ensuring sufficient capacity in equipment and personnel

Liaise with internal customers/suppliers i.e. shared services: Finance, Human Resources, and Quality etc.

Maintain discipline – i.e. Compliance to company rules, procedures and Collective Agreement and Employment Standards Act

University Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.

Minimum five (5) years in a machining environment. Must have experience in programming and machining

Familiarity with aerospace components, manufacturing processing and quality control. SAP experience preferred.

Knowledge of Lean Principles and techniques, ability to interpret engineering drawings and make recommendations for improvements. Management and leadership abilities in motivating staff and fostering teambuilding required. Must possess problem solving skills and have the ability to be proactive and innovative in approach. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, MRPII and detailed understanding of shop floor control systems, results driven, good time management and good organizational skills
