Safran: student partner

Safran is involved with schools at all levels to encourage students to learn more about our professions. For instance, we are a partner with the following:

Student Aerospace Challenge – This Challenge gives associations of students from engineering schools, business schools and universities the opportunity to participate in the design of a suborbital spaceplane, alongside seasoned aerospace experts.

Elles Bougent ("Women on the Move") - An association founded to introduce female students in high school and college to jobs as technicians or engineers. The association helps these young women make career choices and also informs teachers about career opportunities in these sectors.

Partnerships with schools and universities - The key challenges for Safran are developing our collaboration with schools and universities, and helping students develop their career plans. Safran is now a partner or class sponsor for 25 schools and universities in France.

Safran, partner to the EDHEC cruising race - Since 2013, Safran has been an official partner to the EDHEC cruising race, which takes place in April every year. The race is Europe’s largest sporting event for students, attracting 3,000 of them from 22 different nationalities and representing 165 business and engineering schools as well as universities from across the globe. The race provides the Group with a fantastic opportunity to bolster its appeal among students and young graduates alike.
For the start of the regattas, participants can make their way over to the Safran stand in the village hosting the race to meet the members of the "Safran ambassadors" network so that they can find out more about the Group, its business sectors, values and career opportunities in aerospace, defense and security.
The partnership is part of the employer branding marketing campaign launched by Safran in 2012. It also mirrors its commitment to sailing, initiated in 2006, with the skippers Marc Guillemot, Morgan Lagravière and Gwénolé Gahinet.
