* "Green Taxiing" is a new, more ecological system to move airplanes on the ground, using electric motors instead of the plane’s jet engines, which will allow airlines to reduce their fuel consumption by up to 4%. Safran and Honeywell will create a joint venture to develop, produce and sell the electrical green taxiing system, with the aim of providing this system for new aircraft entering service in 2016, as well as retrofitting aircraft already in service.
