The SAFRAN Supervisory Board meets at least four times a year, in particular to approve the consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements, and to examine quarterly reports from the Executive Board. The Supervisory Board comprises 17 members.

The Supervisory Board Commitees
The Supervisory Board has set up three committees which draw up analyses of matters discussed by the board and submit recommendations.
Strategy Committee
The Strategy Committee’s role is to submit recommendations on the key strategic directions pursued by the group and on the development policy presented by the Board of Management (strategic agreements, partnerships, investment and divestment plans, creation of subsidiaries, equity investments, etc.).
The Strategy Committee comprises six members: Francis Mer (Chairman), Pierre Aubouin, Christophe Burg, Mario Colaiacovo, Luc Oursel and Jean Rannou.
Audit Committee
The Audit Committee’s role is to examine accounting and financial information. It also studies:
- objectives, programs and action plans within the scope of Safran internal and external control processes;
- the efficiency of analysis and risk management procedures;
- financial aspects of operations related to capital increases, equity investments, acquisitions and divestments.
The Audit Committee comprises five members: Shemaya Levy (Chairman), Pierre Aubouin, Michel Lucas, Jean Rannou and Michel Toussan.
Nomination and Compensation Committee
The role of the Nomination and Compensation Committee is to submit recommendations to the Supervisory Board regarding the nomination and compensation of corporate officers. It submits a list of the Supervisory Board members who can be considered “independents”.
The Nomination and Compensation Committee comprises six members: Michel Lucas (Chairman), Pierre Aubouin, Christophe Burg, François de Combret, Jean-Marc Forneri and Bernard Vatier.
