Diversity & Corporate Social Responsability

Encourage diversity and equal opportunity

Safran encourages diversity as a key performance driver. The Group promotes equal opportunity and actively combats all forms of discrimination.

In October 2008, corporate Human Resources created a Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity department, underscoring Safran’s commitment in these two areas, both of which resonate with our core values: exemplary corporate citizenship and recognizing the invaluable contributions of our people. This new department is a concrete result of ongoing initiatives, providing a formal framework and helping accelerate change.

Safran’s commitment to fighting discrimination and promoting equal opportunity spans several important areas: employment of people with disabilities, gender equality, integration of young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods, targeted measures to support employment of seniors and promote cultural diversity.

In all these areas, methods, objectives and policies are defined at the Group level and implemented by all subsidiaries, particularly within the scope of formal management-labor agreements.

CSR and Diversity department objectives

- Ensure that the Group’s recruiting and workplace organization and methods guarantee equal opportunity and respect for diversity.
- Manage and coordinate Group initiatives to promote diversity and social responsibility.
