Corporate citizenship
Safran seeks to play an important role in improving urban life, both through its two corporate foundations and through solidarity initiatives.

Our solidarity patronage is characterized by long-term commitments with major private or public partners and by the combination, wherever possible, of a twin social and cultural approach. Among the various actions carried out, the partnerships with the French Ministry for National Education and the Orchestre de l’Alliance are good illustrations of the Group’s sense of commitment.
Young people’s concert at Salle Gaveau in Paris
In December 2010, the Safran Group organized, for the third year running, a young people’s concert at the Salle Gaveau, Paris. In the presence of the French Minister for Education, Luc Chatel, over 600 pupils from Educational Priority Areas in the school boards of Créteil, Paris and Versailles were able to attend - in most cases for the very first time - a classical music concert in a renowned Parisian concert hall. This initiative, which gives those who seem the furthest removed the chance to appreciate musical culture, is also a means of combating inequality.
“Seasons of solidarity!”
The Orchestre de l’Alliance (formerly the "Orchestre des Musiciens de la Prée"), founded in 1995 by Pejman Memarzadeh, consists of young professional musicians who have graduated from the leading European conservatories. Four times a year, under the banner of ‘Seasons of Solidarity’, this musical group holds a concert, with all box-office receipts donated to an association. For nearly three years now, the Safran group has been backing these performers, in a long-term humanitarian partnership.
After helping Neurodon (a national collection organized by the FRC to fund research on the brain and its pathologies), ELA (European Association against Leukodystrophy), Aviation Sans Frontières, the Foundation d’Auteuil and the Franch Red Cross, Safran wanted to help the people of Haiti who were affected by the earthquake there. The 2010 spring concert was held in aid of the Fidesco association, with the proceeds going towards the construction of a primary school in Port-au-Prince.
The 2011 spring concert was held in aid of Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaqueassociation.
