Safran is an international, high-tech equipment manufacturer that is a market leader in the fields of aerospace, defense and security. Our technologies help to underpin safety and security in daily life and to satisfy the profoundest aspirations of mankind.
The Group’s patronage approach reflects this outlook. This approach is put into practice by its two corporate foundations and by means of solidarity initiatives carried out in conjunction with frontline players from the public and private sector. Whether in terms of social or professional integration programs, helping people in difficulties or who are disadvantaged by their handicap or disability, or else supporting promising young musicians, our multiple initiatives are intended to respond to two key challenges: social cohesion and equality of opportunity for all. The lasting benefits of what the beneficiaries may expect to enjoy are a fundamental criterion for every choice we make.
We also encourage cross-fertilization between our social and cultural commitments, as testified, for example, by our support for the Orchestre de l’Alliance in aid of major humanitarian causes, or the multi-annual partnership with the French Ministry for National Education aimed at offering an appreciation of classical music to pupils from schools in socially deprived areas. We hope to be able to act in the social and cultural field with the same rigor and energy as in the field of industry, and show that we can be just as efficient there, too.
Over 200 patronage actions have been carried out by Safran since 2005, and every single one represents, for the Group, an investment of lasting value, in the truest sense of the word. These actions convey the civic aspirations of all the Group’s employees and succeed, with each passing year, to make solidarity seem more and more like second-nature.
