Staying close to students

Safran maintains a close relationship with schools and universities to build solid foundations for our future, introduce students to our businesses and professions, and support the renewal of our workforce.

Through forums, conferences and site visits students can get better acquainted with the Safran Group, our businesses and professions. But that’s not all. As a high-tech enterprise Safran is also heavily involved in training engineers through a multipronged approach:

We welcome more than 2,000 interns per year.
We propose study projects; about 100 doctoral students are always working with various teams in the Group.
Our specialists are often detached to give courses at top schools.
We provide guidance to help schools develop their curriculums in light of industry’s needs.

Safran student’s partner

Safran is a partner in the “Student Aerospace Challenge” for teams of students from engineering and management schools, who participate in a competition to design a suborbital tourist rocket-plane. Their project has to encompass all aspects of this type of program: finance, legal, engineering, aerospace technologies, management, communication and design.

Safran is also a partner in the French association “Elles Bougent” (“Women on the Move”), designed to introduce women to engineering and technical professions in the transport and energy sectors. The association helps orient teenagers who are interested in these jobs, and also makes parents and teachers more aware of career possibilities.

Safran has set up close partnerships with certain schools, in particular the Supelec electrical engineering school, Ecole Centrale de Paris and Ecole Centrale Lyon engineering schools, and ISAE aeronautical engineering school.
