Helicopters

Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, a Safran group company, offers unrivaled capabilities in the design, development, testing and production of landing gear for all types of helicopters.

Messier-Bugatti-Dowty’s expertise in the helicopter market covers both civil and military rotorcraft, as well as tilt-rotors. In the military market,Messier-Bugatti-Dowty supplies landing gear for all Eurocopter models, as well as the Denel Rooivalk combat helicopter. It also supplies the landing gear for the Bell/Agusta Aerospace BA609, the world’s first civilian tilt-rotor aircraft, combining the flexibility of vertical flight with the speed and range of a conventional aircraft. The landing system meets this aircraft’s very demanding requirements, including a compact design and ability to handle the fluctuating loads during different flight phases.
