Woodward, which is located in Niles, Illinois, received a Safran Nacelles Supplier Award for Quality and On-time Delivery Performance, an honor that recognizes its demonstrated excellence and sustainable performance.

This U.S. company provides electrical actuators that open and close the large nacelle fan cowls produced by Safran Nacelles for jet engines equipping Airbus A380s.

"The supplier network is crucial to our goals of providing quality nacelles, as well as offering best-in-class support and services," explained Jean-Paul Alary, the President of Safran Nacelles. "The suppliers recognized with our latest awards earned their distinction through dedication to excellence. They also demonstrated that both large and small companies can achieve top supplier status."

Other winners of Safran Nacelles' Supplier Awards were the Airbus Defence and Space Aerostructures operation in Seville, Spain, and Maugars Industrie of Le Havre, France, which both were honored for Customer Support and Service Performance. Airbus Defence and Space in Seville also received the top rating for Quality and On-time Delivery Performance along with Woodward.

Safran Nacelles – based in Le Havre, France – is the world's second leading supplier of aircraft engine nacelles, with more than 17,000 in service, logging over 100,000 flight-hours per day. It supplies nacelles and components for all segments of the aviation market, from business and regional jets to mainline commercial jets.
