Safran Campus opens its doors in Massy, near Paris

Paris, October 7, 2014

Safran opened its corporate campus in early September. Safran Campus is situated in a 13-hectare (32-acre) park in Massy, not far from Paris. It houses Safran University, which will provide 220,000 hours of training to 8,500 employees per year.

The Campus gives Safran a state-of-the-art venue to foster its corporate culture and values among all employees, support its development, keep pace with changing technological and organizational requirements, harmonize practices within each profession, and mobilize employees to share and transmit knowledge.

Safran Campus was also designed as a preferred venue for meetings and discussions between employees and with all of Safran's customers and partners. In addition to housing the corporate university, the Campus will also host events such as orientation days for new hires, employee conferences and customer or product seminars.

"The aim of the Safran Campus is to convey the knowledge and skills needed to support our development," said Gilbert Font, Safran Vice President, Talent Development and Director of Safran University. "It is intended for all employees, and fosters a shared corporate culture and values. This will help our training programs address Safran's strategic challenges and top priorities in developing employee skills."

Safran invested 4.4% of payroll in training in 2013, for a total of 1.5 million hours, including 500,000 in international markets. That's an average of more than 20 hours of training per employee per year. Safran University has two branches already in operation, in Dallas, Texas and Beijing, China, which offer multilingual programs adapted to the specific needs of each region.
