Paris, February 20, 2014

Morpho (Safran) has achieved EMVCo* security evaluation certification** for its NFC SIM product family "SIMply NFC Evolution" (SIMbios Secured Release 1.2.0 version). This confirms that Morpho's SIMply NFC Evolution is a trusted and safe security platform compatible with major payment schemes and NFC applications.

EMVCo facilitates the worldwide interoperability and acceptance of secure payment transactions. Owned by American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, UnionPay and Visa, the technical body manages the EMV® Specifications for chip-based payment cards.

Julien Zuccarelli, Vice President and General Manager Telecom Business Unit at Morpho Business Solutions Division, said: "The new certification by EMVCo provides assurance to our customers that they will receive an industry evaluated and reliable NFC SIM platform from Morpho. This new generation of Morpho products delivers the security level required to facilitate trusted financial transactions when using mobile equipment."

Morpho's SIMply NFC Evolution product family features RSA*** key management and offers various cryptographic algorithms. Thanks to its large end-user free memory, SIMply NFC Evolution ensures that all existing and future NFC services can be addressed through the same card.
