Morpho expands its US market share through LTE deliveries

Paris, November 18, 2013

Morpho (Safran) today announced that it is strengthening its market position in the United States through the large-scale delivery of LTE SIM cards. The recent delivery of LTE SIM cards to one of the top four mobile network operators in the United States marks a milestone in the progress toward realizing the potential of the next generation of mobile networks.

4G/LTE, a global standard for mobile communications, has been rapidly growing in the US market. It promises to deliver ultra-fast data speeds, superior voice quality and support for a wide array of networked devices. As one of the leading providers of SIM cards globally, Morpho is now poised to accelerate this growth.

The benefits of 4G/LTE stem from the ability of the LTE SIM to support next generation services in conjunction with LTE-enabled mobile devices. Incorporating the advanced functionalities specified in the latest standards, Morpho has invested in the development of an LTE SIM that ensures mobile network operators can rely on a superior level of features and performance to improve their customers' experience.

"LTE is the future of mobile communications, and Morpho is pleased to be playing a significant part in delivering its capabilities to the United States," said Paul Naldrett, Managing Director Morpho Cards USA and Senior Vice President Sales USA at Morpho, e-Documents Division. "With nearly all US mobile network operators migrating to the new LTE standard, and some of them having already completed their network upgrades to LTE, it's clear that the demand for LTE will grow and remain strong for the foreseeable future."
