Safran wins Competitiveness award at European Business Meetings

Safran received the Competitiveness award for European businesses at the 7th "Rencontres de l'Entreprise Européenne" (European Business Meetings), organized by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in conjunction with the business daily La Tribune and the HEC business school.

These meetings were hold on October 18 at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and were organized around the theme: "Should Europe opt for protectionism to protect its competitiveness?"

Three awards were handed out during these meetings, for Growth, Competitiveness and Mergers & Acquisitions. They are designed to promote the European business model, spotlight winning strategies in these three areas, and foster greater understanding of the specific factors involved.

The Competitiveness award recognizes Safran's solid financial position, its industrial success and joint venture with GE, CFM International, created nearly 40 years ago, and its strong development in businesses with high growth margins, such as security.
